HR Generalist

The Generalist's primary responsibilities are to support the operations department, in a manufacturing environment, with employee relations, investigations, training, leave of absence, unemployment and general compensation and benefits issues and strategies.

Responsibilities:
oConsults with department managers to determine appropriate human resources priorities.
oParticipates in the review of operational business strategy and objectives to determine the implication on human resources objectives.
oAdvises management of risks associated with current business practices and recommends improvements by providing expertise to management in local, state and federal employment laws.
oProactively makes recommendations to improve HR operations and value added to business operations.
oPromptly reports any compliance related concerns to Senior HR Management team and works through appropriate resolution.
oConducts training of human resources objectives to management including regulatory compliance training, policy and procedures training and corporate communication initiatives.
oMaintains communication with departments on all human resources related issues.
oReports recommendations and alternatives to human resources strategy to higher level managers.
oRepresents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
oWorks independently on objectives.
oReceives very little supervision and is able to schedule priorities independently according to business needs.
oEnsures that human resources needs are met in a timely manner at all times.
oMaintains excellent relationships with both direct business partners and peripheral departments that interact with direct support groups (i.e. closely related departments, payroll, accounting, etc.).
oUnderstands and can articulate department and LCI corporate business goals, including financial impacts of HR actions.

Qualifications/Skills:

oBachelor's degree from four-year College or University
o3 to 5 years of HR Generalist experience.
oProfessional in Human Resources or comparable HR certification preferred.
oAbility to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff, including executives.
oCompetencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
oRequires high level computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
oFlexible, innovative in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
