Quality Assurance Manager

Salary range: $65,000-$80,000
Requirements:
Technical college diploma or Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering concentration
? 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
MicroSoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)
? Visio
? MRP/ERP
? Ability to use standard measuring tools and equipment and Statistical software
Knowledge of HVAC systems and components helpful
? Use of quality principles/tools to perform analysis and solve system/component problems in a timely manner
? Good understanding of ISO systems (Quality/Environmental/Other)
? Experience giving presentations/training to hourly and management personnel
? Ability to work effectively with hourly and management employees
? Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
? Autonomous, energetic, positive attitude, organized and socially skilled
Six Sigma Black or Green Belt preferred
Responsibilities:
Oversee Quality Department functions/staff including providing guidance, coaching, mentoring, time management and setting expectations/goals for the Quality Assurance team.
? Establish clear and effective communications that demonstrate respect, courage and action
? Initiate continuous improvement activities with inter-company teams/external teams utilizing quality tools 8D, audits, Kaizen, Lean, Morning Market, Quality Circle, etc.
? Implement corrective/preventive actions for quality complaints/significant quality issues and act as the CAPA representative for internal and external stakeholders.
? Oversee Customer/Supplier Quality and provide support and resources to Quality Department personnel directly responsible for these areas.
? Manage and maintain the quality and environmental management system (ISO 9001/14001)
? Oversee audit program (product, Layered and ISO audit)
? Conduct regular meetings with management team to review the status of the Quality/Environmental system
? Conduct regular meetings with the Quality Department staff to discuss quality planning activities, Customer/Supplier quality issues and ISO programs
? Participate in Warranty meetings with inter-company personnel and customers
? Review company policies, procedures and tools and provide input to the management team
? Provide training to hourly and office staff (i.e., QMS/EMS, APQP, 8D, etc.)
? Schedule routine visits to customers and suppliers to discuss quality issues and new programs
? Support company health and safety program and emergency preparedness/response
? Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
