GENERAL SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the overall management and direction of the human resources functions for the organization and for representing the Human Resources perspective in business decisions. Directs and coordinates overall human resource activities across multiple locations including manufacturing facilities in Indiana, Missouri, Iowa, Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and may become involved in some Human Resource activities at overseas operations.

Responsibilities:

Human Resource Leadership
Actively participate in the business' strategic planning and proactively support the business direction through integrated human resource programs and initiatives. Develop and implement human resource policies, procedures and programs to meet organizational needs and comply with state, federal and / or country laws. Provides direction and leadership in the management of human resource strategies, initiatives, systems, programs, and practices. Responsible for all mandatory reporting, compliance activities, and community relations. Provides guidance and counsel to BU staff and business leaders and managers regarding Safety and Human Resource practices, policy interpretation, problem resolution, and compliance with company philosophy and practice and state and federal regulations. Responsible and ultimately accountable for the overall daily HR operations maintaining superior service levels in recruitment, orientation, retention, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, communication, legal compliance, health and safety, environmental, and training and development.

Business Unit Liaison
Serves as a central contact and support to HR functions at each site as well as plant and facility management. Serves as the HR representative to Corporate office. As a company senior generalist, serves in an advisory role to field HR staff and a mentor role to junior members of the company HR team.

Employee Relations, Legal Compliance
Support managers and supervisors in carrying out their HR responsibilities. Participate in termination decisions and implementation. Manage the exit process including interviews. Responsible for resolving difficult / complex employee relations situations. Administer corporate policies. Work with Corporate legal department as necessary to support decisions and strategies. Insure each site's compliance with Corporate practices and guidelines as well as governmental and regulatory agency requirements. Knowledge of both non-union and union facilities.

Organizational Development Programs and Special Projects
Lead role company-wide HR initiatives as it pertains to Organizational Development. Develops and leads corporate level Succession Planning efforts. Develops and installs programs for talent management, skills assessment, performance feedback, career development.


EDUCATION, TRAINING, SKILLS:
Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business, Labor Relations. Master's degree and advanced HR certification preferred. Human Resources Generalist (broad experience in multiple HR disciplines). Supervisory or managerial experience. Multi-location management experience with professional staff. Manufacturing company and site experience. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), E-mail and Internet. Knowledge and experience with union collective bargaining agreements. International human resource management experience preferred. Able to travel both domestically and internationally 15% of the time.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
