In support of the mission of Goshen Health, and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Patient Access and Health Information Management is responsible for providing leadership and establishing and implementing Patient Access strategy within the areas of outpatient scheduling, patient scheduling, patient pre-registration, and patient registration, in addition providing leadership to medical records.
This position is key to implementing initiatives, transforming patient access services, improving the patient experience, and enhancing financial outcomes.
This position will build and maintain relationships with Revenue Cycle departments, Hospital outpatient departments, Nursing units, Acute Care Coordination, and other collaborative partners within the organization in support of Health System initiatives.
Additionally, this position will oversee medical records ensuring compliance with organization and legal state/federal guidelines.
Position Qualifications Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree Preferred Education:
Master's degree in Healthcare related field Minimum
Experience:
Three years previous management experience within healthcare-related field.
Preferred
Experience:
5 years or more in previous Patient Access & HIM management experience Certifications Preferred:
RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) and/or RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) and CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Management) Certifications Location:
